This 12-day blessing journey will take us to the Detian Waterfall, where we will experience the awe-inspiring power of Asia’s largest transnational waterfall, undergo a cleansing baptism of nature, and offer prayers at Detian Temple. We will visit the “Potala Palace of Guangxi”—the Nongla Vajra Putuo Temple, make a pilgrimage to the sacred Buddhist site of Lotus Mountain in Dahua, and ascend Beidi Mountain in Pingnan, renowned as a “mystical landscape and sanctuary of blessings.”

Lotus Mountain, a Buddhist holy site, is surrounded by four large mountains—east, west, south, and north—each over 1,000 meters high, forming a shape resembling a lotus flower, hence its name. The scenic area features attractions such as Buddha halls, pavilions, fairyland springs, Mounts of Blessing, Rank, and Longevity, Clever Spring, and Guanyin Spring.

The water of Dalong Lake is clear and clean, originating from underground rivers, free from any pollution. The lake, along with the surrounding mountains and fourteen isolated islands, forms a natural painting. The area is dotted with many strangely shaped stone mountains, with towering peaks, leading some to call it China’s Ha Long Bay.

Day 1: Arrival in Nanning

Day 2: Nanning to Lingnan and back to Nanning
After breakfast, head to the Pangu Temple in Fuzi Town, Lingxian County. The Pangu Temple in Lingxian County is a small shrine located at the foot of Luoyang Mountain, holding both religious and folk significance, centered around the belief in Pangu. Although its architecture is simple, it continues its cultural vitality through oral legends and maintenance efforts.

After lunch, return to Nanning and visit the Liangfengjiang National Park to see the Yin-Yang Unity Bodhi Tree and Tianning Temple. The park covers an area of 4,800 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 83.9%, making it an ecological park that integrates natural landscapes, cultural attractions, and forest health functions.

In the evening, stroll through the night market on Nongyuan Road.

Day 3 in Nanning
After breakfast, visit Nanning’s green lung, Qingxiu Mountain. Its iconic structure, the Dragon and Elephant Pagoda, features Ming Dynasty architecture and offers panoramic views of Nanning. The Guanyin Chan Temple, a famous Buddhist temple and the largest Buddhist holy site in Guangxi, is bustling with incense burners.

Afternoon visit to Nanhu Park, evening to watch the music fountain at Nanhu Park and stroll through the night market on Fuxing Road.

Day 4 in Nanning
After breakfast, visit Nanning’s Bujin Park, which features the tallest statue of the God of Wealth in Nanning.

In the afternoon, visit the Yellow Emperor Temple, which was built after the Song Dynasty, with its exact date unknown. On either side of the main hall of the temple, there are couplets that read: ‘The jade fortress of Yongcheng stretches eight hundred miles, still retaining its beautiful mountain scenery; The golden basin of China, five thousand years old, remains firmly intact under the deep grace of the emperor.’ Every year on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, which is the birthday of the Yellow Emperor, many worshippers come to pay their respects, expressing the descendants of Yan and Huang’s longing for their Chinese ancestors. In the evening, stroll around the Peace Wholesale Market.

Day 5: Nanning to Detian
After breakfast, take a bamboo raft ride at Dongnaoyu Bay, which is known as the ‘Osmanthus Water Fairy River’. It features karst topography dominated by a black water river, with peculiar peaks and strange rocks, winding clear waters, creating a picturesque landscape of mountains and rivers like a painting.

Next, visit Detian Falls, the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and the world’s largest, as well as Detian Temple. The waterfall cascades down from towering cliffs, with an awe-inspiring grandeur that resembles a fairyland on earth. It has been used as a filming location for famous TV series such as ‘Flower Bones’, ‘Tea is Strongest at Home’, and ‘Wine is Strongest at Home’.

Day 6: Detian-Jingxi
After breakfast, head to visit the Dragon Palace Fairyland (includes ice cave admission, electric vehicle ride, and thermal suit). Traverse through the ice caves of Dragon Palace Fairyland and experience the pure and sacred icy world.

In the afternoon, we visited Tongling Grand Canyon, which features a complex underground river system and caves such as the Nianba Cave. Under the illumination of lights inside the cave, the stalactites and stalagmites take on various shapes, resembling a natural art gallery.

Day 7: Jingxi to Mashan
Head to Mashan to visit Lingyang Temple, the largest cave temple in Guangxi. Lingyang Temple was originally built during the Yuanfeng period of the Song Dynasty (1078-1085) by Nanhua Huiyuan Zen Master, a descendant of the Sixth Patriarch, who came east to open the mountain at Gulong. Lingyang Temple is not only a good place for devotees to pray but also a tourist attraction rich in historical charm. The temple features attractions such as the Three Jewels, Guanyin, and the Reclining Buddha, holding significant historical and cultural value.

In the afternoon, visit the Nongla Scenic Area, pay a visit to the largest Buddhist temple in Guangxi, the Nongla Jinding Putuo Temple, and admire the world’s largest cliff carving of the Diamond Sutra.

Day 8: Ma Shan to Dahua and back to Ma Shan
After breakfast, head to the Dalu Lotus Mountain Buddhist Holy Site. Lotus Mountain is surrounded by four large mountains—east, west, south, and north—with altitudes over 1,000 meters, resembling a lotus flower, hence its name. Historical records indicate that Buddhism began to take root here as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty. During Buddhist festivals, many believers come for pilgrimage. After the pilgrimage, return to Mashan County town to check in.

Day 9: Mashan → Shanglin
After breakfast, depart for Shanglin County and visit [“Little Heaven Cave” (Xiaodongtian)]. In the afternoon, explore the scenic Dalong Lake, often referred to as “China’s Ha Long Bay.” The lake features 14 natural islets and 16 karst caves, where visitors can take a boat tour to admire the breathtaking landscape of limestone peaks and emerald waters—a true masterpiece of nature’s craftsmanship.
